RV Forum membership longevity

I think I was spring of 1997, joined shortly after I bought my first truck camper, my first post was asking if TC’s were allowed membership. At that time FMCA excluded all but motorhomes. Requirement being you could move from driving to living area without going outside, I facetiously posed the question that if I could go thru the rear window would it be OK. (no it wasn’t).

I knew Jim Dick from a cycling forum I was Sysop of back then, so it was nice already having framily.

BTW, that spring we had a rally in CT, I met a bunch of forum folks there, Chet and Lori Parks, Jim and Pat Dick (in person), Ken and Sheila Kuchs, Fred and Daisy Thomas, Trying to remember the name, he came as a single with a pop up trailer, I think that was it. We followed up later that summer with a rally up at Stanley Park in CT. Couple more folks were there. A single gal and the single guy that was a Medical examiner, dang memory!
