Is there any advantage of RV shows?

Yes, but not financial- often people can get a better price at the dealer's lot, in spite of the hoopla from the show vendors about "savings."

The big advantage to a show, IMO, is that in one place you can see and compare many RVs that are otherwise spread over many square miles, perhaps 30-100 miles away. Another advantage is that there are often a lot of accessories on display such that you can learn about (and usually see) many products that you otherwise might not know about.

One big drawback of the show is that there are so many RVs there that you can quickly lose track of which had what, so you need to be careful to document what you've seen and what you thought of each.

There are other pros and cons, but the above are the biggies, to me.

One thing I have found about "buy now show pricing!!" is that's a pile of BS. If they'd sell it at the show for X dollars they'll sell it off the lot in 3 months for X dollars. Show pricing is a tactic used to entice a gullible customer to 'buy now and save!'

I think a lot more miles away than that or my "new" RV would not have had 3,500 miles on it. I can see the 2,000 miles to get it to Sparks, NV, from IN but what about the other 1,500 miles?

FWIW, I wouldn't mind going 200 miles or so to check out motorhomes. In fact, If I knew then what I know now, I wish I went to Fresno, CA to look at theirs--I wonder if that the place that refuses to have RVs on their lot with tankless water heaters. I drove by the place on my last RV trip, the place was huge, just of Hwy 99. 200 miles from Auburn. 400 miles round trip.

Demo to customers, driving to and from RV shows, and who knows what else (repo???)?

Can they sell repos as new?

I assume it was mostly to RV shows. But they cannot be doing that forever on the same motorhome as not many will pay for a NEW one with 20,000 miles on it. They need to stop the BS before it acuminates too many miles.

My experience has been if it's never been titled it can be sold as new.
