Just signed up for the forum and looks like a nice group with a lot of info. We are full timers wandering the west and running a business as we do :) Been doing this since 98. Looking forward to exploring the forum and contributing what we can. Hoping to get back to Laughlin for the winter, depending on the dry camp laws ::)

I'm looking to winter in the Vegas Area as well... Any suggestions as to where.  I got some suggestions a while ago but alas,,,  The other responder either stayed there a long time ago or in the summer (prices have risen)

I am looking to spend December, Feburary and March in the area

Are you looking to dry camp? If so, there are a few places around Vegas. Some BLM land N of Vegas near Overton. If you want to pay there are several places in the Lake Meade/Lake Mohave area. If over 62, you can get a Golden Eagle Passport and the paid sites are $5 a night. If you want to stay a few hours away from Vegas there are some free dry camping areas near Laughlin. Very familiar with the area, especially for winter stays....let me know what you had in mind?

Wife is over 42, has the pass

I would prefer hookups, the more the better (Order of preference Electric, Water, Sewer) but can live with a dry camp if I have to, So long as there is a dump station somewhere nearby

Well, if you want to stay in Vegas and want Hook ups, then Sam's Town seems to be a popular spot. Never stayed there myself, but I know a lot of RVer's like it there. It is on Boulder Highway and a bit from the down town area, although they have a rather large casino right near the RV Park and a Camping World is near by. I'm not sure if they have weekly or monthly rates? You can check all the details out online..............Don't know if you have been to Vegas before, but it has changed a lot over the last few years (growth). Taking on a big city atmosphere :(

I actually stayed a few blocks from Sam's Town last year, I would not have a problem with the area, Just the winter prices

There are two Sam's Town RV parks, both are right near Bolder Hwy and S. Nellis,  My daughter lives on N. Nellis

Right under the take off path of the jets :)
