In my 2004 31 foot fifth wheel Keystone Challenger I have a Dometic model DOTR12CB1V Microwave and from what I can find out about it, it seems to be all AC. Its built in and has the light and vent under it. and without taking it out I'm in hopes that someone will know if there is 12 Volt wiring behind the unit. Microwave is falling apart but still useable and I'm wanting to replace it with a small microwave and with a 12 volt range hood with light and vent. Any info is greatly appreciated!!

I don't have a range hood. This built in microwave has a fan vent and a light under it built into the microwave. I'm wanting to remove this one and replace with a compact microwave and a range hood vent with a light and fan. But I can only find a 22 inch wide range hood that are 12 volt. The ac ones are 24 inch. Cannot make it fit. This is the reason I'm trying to find out if there is a option to connect to 12 volt behind the existing microwave.

The microwave doesn't use any 12vdc, so unless there is some other component nea by thet uses 12v, there won't be any 12vdc wiring there.

Thank you! Now I'll have to figure out another way to go. The refrigerator is next to the microwave and of course there is 12 v. Maybe I can figure a way to route the wiring from it. I just had a apartment refrigerator installed a few months ago. 12v wiring is available there. Thank you so much for your help! Jan
