An RVer reported that iRV2 logins were being rejected on alternating devices after password resets, and that an RVforum alert opened an iRV2 page while not signed in. Members clarified that RVforum, iRV2, and other RV LIFE sites use a shared sign-in with the same email address and password.

The original poster realized they had been using the same email address but different passwords on the two sites, which caused the reset loop. After trying the same email and password on both, they...

I access Irv2 and Rvforum from my Mac and from my samsung tablet through Chrome. All software is up to date on both machines.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed my password for Irv2 was being rejected on my tablet, so I'd reset the password and regain access to Irv2. Subsequently, on my Mac, Irv2 would then reject my password and I'd have to reset the password again to get access on my Mac. And, the loop continues.

This a.m. I didn't even bother with the password reset on my Mac after being rejected and went on to Rvforum. Noticing an alert on Rvforum (the bell icon), I clicked it and was transported to Irv2 - not signed in, but to the posting that I had been alerted about.

I'm guessing something is amiss in the hosting software - can these two simply be merged to eliminate the conflicts and post redundancies we sometimes see?

Or, other than rebooting, cleaning cache, resetting password on Irv2 every time I want to access, is there something else I'm doing incorrectly?

As Jackie said, we currently have a single sign-in for both forums (and other RV Life sites) - email address and password. As for the software, we're using a cross-forum version.

Doesn't look like you've logged into iRV2 since Jan 30. Are you by chance using a different email address as a user name over there?

OMG - what planet was I on when this changed? I'm sure it was announced - but this is the first I've been conscious (I used this word on purpose) that I was to use the same password on both...

I just tried using the same email and password on both - works flawlessly - duh and THANKS team!

Same email when signing on - but different password. I sign in daily... and simply kept resetting the Irv2 password... Jeeesshsh.

Glad we got it figured out, and thanks for the follow-up.
