I have a Ford 150 (V8) and a 16.5' Sunline TT. Is it safe to tow it a short distance with no trailer brakes?

drive smart and you should be fine.

and if towing a trailer without brakes bothers you all you guys, ... then don't ever rent a moving trailer.
