Can anyone suggest where I might find towing mirrors (extensions) to fit my '03 Ford Expedition - Eddie Bauer?  All I can find is for the 2003 Heritage F-150 and 1999-2002 Expedition (with the rounded mirrors).  Would really appreciate your help.  Thanks.

I have an 04 Expidition Eddie Bauer, I bought some attachable mirrors from Camping World, they have rubber straps that go around the existing mirrors. I worried that they might not stay put while driving but I have had no problems with them. I do have a cheater strap on them, I guess I am just a chicken I might loose them. I think they were $15 each. Cathy

I have a set of slip on extensions for a '02 F250 that I no longer use if they would fit.  If so PM me.

Thanks Cathy.  I was hoping to find some slide-on mirrors that are molded to fit my truck, but it's looking like I may be following the route you took.  Probably going by local Camping World tomorrow.
Thanks again.

Gregg I looked for slip on ones also but because of the turn signal thing on the mirrors I never found any. The one I got have like a gripper that holds to the front part of the mirror and the rubber straps go around and hook to the underside or upper side , which ever way you put them on. Cathy

I purchased a pair of Grand Aero mirrors from Amazon. I like them because they hardly any wobble which is what I experienced with the mirrors that are attached via rubber straps. They cost close to $100.00 but to me it was a worthwhile purchase for such a critical aspect of towing.

I have a set of slip on extended mirrors for a 2004 Ford F-150.  My mirrors are rectangular shapped with the yellow turn signal inddicator lights below the mirror.  I bought them at an RV/Truck Accessory store and only used them twice before I sold the travel trailer.  They were not cheap, but they looked good and served the purpose for extending the mirrors while towing the travel trailer.  Let me know if you are interested and I'll take a picture of the mirrors on my truck and the slip on mirrors.

I've got a set of clip ons for my Dodge that are really slick. Nothing more that a phillips screw driver and clamp them on. Really cheap in price and don't vibrate. But I did learn don't stick them straight out... I did find out that you can still break the glass rather easy. Dang... I can't find the page where I bought them...

Thanks Dan, sounds like what I've been looking for.  I'd like to see them and get some more info from you.  Please Email pics and price.
Thanks again,
Gregg

Gregg,

I'll try to get pics tonight and send them to you.  I still have the original boxes they came in so it may tell on the box which vehicles they will fit.

Dan

Gregg,

I haven't forgot about you.  I've had grandkids baseball games and such every night so just have not had a chance to go out and get them and take pictures.  I'll try to do that either tonight or tomorrow.

Dan

99 F150 and I got these.  They work fine.

Thanks for the responses everybody.

Dan,
Thanks for staying in touch, and I fully understand about keeping up with the kids' activities - you really don't want to miss out on these things because those young'uns grow up too fast.

Gregg,

Sorry I am so long getting the pics posted.  Here are the pics of my mirrors with and without the extended mirrors on and a pic of them with the boxes.  Let me know if these will work for you.

Dan

I tried the strap on style and they vibrated waay too much.  I purchased some that strap onto the doors (CIPA from etrailer) and they worked much much better.. However if you can get the custom 'slip on' style I'd think that would work best.. and look nicer.. nobody makes those that I could find for my Frontier.

Dan,  I was hoping yours would fit but after seeing them I'm certain they won't.  Your mirrors a rectangular and mine have the angled turn signal/running board light.  Really sorry we can't get this done.  So far I've not found anyone who makes what will slip on these goofy things on my truck.  Guess I'll be getting some that strap onto my mirrors.  Thanks again.

My husband ordered new ones for his 2011 truck and replaced the ones that came with it.  Have to ask him who he ordered them from.  They work really well.

Gregg,

I can see from you picture that they are different.  Doesn't seem like Ford would make so many different shaped mirrors. ??? ???  Sorry it didn't work out.  Hope you find some that will work well for you.

Dan

Dan,
Thanks again for all you've done while trying to help me out.  Guess I should have started this thread with a picture and I could have saved you the trouble of getting and posting your pictures, huh?  ::)
