Hi all,

I am a first time RV owner, and I have a question I was hoping someone could help me with. I have a good to excellent condition Skamper tent trailer, except for one major issue (that I'm aware of so far). There is rot in the area around the skylight and some leaking, and I'm trying to figure the best way to go about repairing this. I think the best way is to put in a bigger skylight and cut out the rot and then make a good seal. Can anybody point me in the direction of a good salvage yard preferably in the Pacific Northwest area, and does anyone have any other thoughts? Any help is much appreciated and I thank you in advance for your time.

Sincerely,

Tommy Jones,
Longview, WA

Hi Tommy and welcome to The RV Forum.

Click the Resources button above and scroll down to RV Parts and Salvage.

RV roof vent skylights are one standard size - 14x14. If you only want a fixed skylight, you can use any kind of skylight you like and they are available in home stores, online, etc. They aren't real expensive either.  Here are some major sources for them:

Thanks Gary !!!!
