Maiden trip in our used Dolphin,,the lounge slide does not go flush to the wall toward the bottom. Any ideas other than it may be bent? I hope not. If you think it is, is there an easy fix?
The slide mechanism is adjustable, but it's tricky to get it right. And they seldom move once the factory tightens down the big bolts. A more likely problem is that something is blocking it from going flush. Maybe one of the rubber seals has come loose and gets crushed in between? Inspect it carefully.
since it won't go flush at the bottom I would check the bottom edge for debris. Like Gary mention is there something in-between the slide and the seals?
Thanks guys, I'll have to figure out how to check between the wall and the slide at the floor level. I can't see anything from the inside of the coach so when I can I'll go outside and check there.
If the gap is about equal on both sides of the slide, I would be looking at the bottom edge of the slide too. Simply pull back as much as you can on the 'wiper' seals and look behind for any possible obstructions. Many of these seals can be simply unscrewed and pulled back for a good look but... some may have two sided tape under there that held them in place during the initial installation as well.
We bought a brand new Vizio TV about four years ago. Two weeks after the purchase my wife told me that she heard a bad "crunch" and the living room slide didn't go out quite all the way.
Note to self: The brand new TV remote WILL bind up the slide!!! Incidently, the remote will NOT survive the experience!!
