After reading thru the threads I am surprised no one mentioned that there are different types of slides with different mechanisms... Our Cougar has the slide with two sliders to pull it in, not just one. That being said, all RV's are made different ways.... some with different quality materials...
That being said.. the slider gives us a ton more room! We usually spend 60 plus days in the winter in it... so a slider was a necessity!
