Slideout Wall Gap Measurements for Expedition RV Build

I have a favor to ask... We are in the process of converting a military M1083 truck into an expeditionary RV. The habitat will have two slides - one on each side. The entire build is being designed in a CAD program and we're getting to the point where we need to make some expensive commitments to the design, one of which is the framing of the slides.

For those of you who have slides in your RV, when you have a few minutes, could you measure the distance between your slide's outer wall, and the "hole" in the RV's wall into which it slides? (Not including the slide seal) In other words, I'd like to know the distance from your slide's outer wall, to the box it slides in and out of. It's probably easier to take this measurement when the slide is out, but any way you do I'd appreciate it. Thanks

The bulb seal is in the way for a picture with exact measurement.
My slides are 1 1/4" to 1 3/4" from the slide box to the wall.

First photo is of our 2 slides. The closest is the shortest 17”. I put masking tape so you could see what I measured. Photo 2. I didn’t include the rubber seal on the left. On the right I went out to the exterior panel. Those are the last 2 photos. The longer of the 2 is in the back measures 35”, it houses part of the platform bed. Kev, had the main slide out for the past month. Just put it in before I saw your post. Still, thought this might help. My measurement from the inside. The depth of the slide not counting the gaskets is 30" on both the front and rear slides. The slide wall thickness measuring at the window opening is 2" on the main slide. The bedroom slide does not have a window so don't know if the slide wall thickness is the same.

FWIW, the main slide is about 12 1/2 feet long. The bedroom slide is about about 7 1/2 feet long.

OP is looking for the width of the hole in the rv versus the width of the slideout to complete his design.

In other words, the distance where the wiper gasket touches the slide as detailed in reply #2 quite well.

Thanks SMR. That's exactly what I was looking for. Yeah, it's hard to describe, but I'm looking for the gap distance between the slide's outer wall and the hole in the wall in which the slide moves in and out. The arrow in my drawing (above) is pointing to the gap distance I'm referring to.

It's a little hard to measure, there is so much gasketing in the way and I don't know how thick the rubber is against the wall of the opening. Anyway, I estimate 1" to 1.25".
