All other things being equal maybe we are there. Then the performance advantages become icing on the cake. There'd still be the factors of running them to expiration and refit cost but even those margins diminish as cost continues to go down. Another factor I can see is increasing cost or decreasing availability to replace lead, which may make some of the economic issues moot.I think we have reached the point where Lithium has became cheaper than Lead Acid, over the average life expectancy of the battery when not abused.
