News reports the latest Tic=Toc trend

Yea, momma was the everyday butt cutter. Daddy was only involved in the high profile ass cuttings. I was lucky that I had a girl, and a very good one at that.

Once again - this comes down to parenting that was useless, coupled to social media which is clearly killing our society's ability to develop/think/survive.

This is not "stupidity" it is destructive criminal behavior. Where is Darwin when we need him?

Teenagers have been doing such stupid stuff long before Tik-Tok, just now there is recorded evidence. When I was in high school a kid brought a gun to school and shot it out the back door of the boy's locker room to impress people. He was suspended for a week for doing it, and went on to be a local city cop, the last I heard he still was 30+ years later.

Discipline minus relationship = rebellion. If a kid at 15 is destroying property committing vandalism, that won't get fixed by starting now. These type behaviours don't happen in a vaccum, they're learned.
A 10 year old child of immigrant parents here committed suicide a few weeks back. Bullies at her school were taunting her daily that her parents were going to be deported , leaving her here all alone. Bullies don't just happen, they're home grown.

The only reason this wasn’t done when we were that age is because there was no such thing as a Chromebook. 😎
The equivalent would have been setting fire to a textbook, we didn't do that then for the same reason we wouldn't have destroyed a school issued laptop.

You say we. You got a mouse in your pocket. We had a guy throw an M80 in a toilet at school. Blew the toilet out of the ground. Kids have been tearing up school properties, properties in general from the beginning of time. Tell me you never sat at a school desk that had names carved in the wood. You’ve never used a school restroom that had names and less drawings on the walls and stall doors? Soap dispensers ripped off the walls. Humans destroy stuff just because they can.

I was about four y/o when I learned that sticking stuff into Electric sockets was a really bad idea.
Funny I had the same experience!! :giggle:

Experience really is an effective teacher, if you manage to survive those experiences..

Safe travels and all the best.

The nostalgic references made me remember my cousin daring me to pee on the electric fence. Of course we never wore shoes on the farm in the summer. Instead I grabbed him and then grabbed the fence.

I'm surprised that some evil mastermind hasn't made a Tic Toc challenge that involves making a batch of cyanide gas or ricen.

When I was a kid we had good clean fun! Stuff like shooting at each other with BB guns, launching bottle rockets at each other and harmless things like that.

Saw a guy blow up a beach ball full of some type of gas (acetylene maybe?) once. Lit it off in the park. Broke windows. We were behind a concrete block but still felt it like a bomb. Made the paper.
