We just had our first excursion in our new (to us) rv and it went very well. Thanks to all for the great info on this site! We only went a couple of hours away. And, per advice found here, we made sure that there was a super walmart nearby for forgotten items. I laughed at a posting I read some months ago about someone forgetting to bring bath soap. Well, guess who forgot to bring soap (among other things)?
Yep, walmart got some cash from us.
Our first extended trip is going to be in Jan-Feb of '26. The management here has never been to south florida and insists that should be our first trip. We are planning on a month in the Key Largo, Everglades, Miami area and a month on the Gulf coast. We're having a bit of trouble deciding on a good park in the Key Largo-Miami area. Homestead would be ideal for being a center point for all that she wants to see. But, from the online reviews, it seems that the area might be a little sketchy. Where ever it is, it has to have full hookups. Anyone have any suggestions? We don't want to go further down the Keys as sightseeing travel time would start to add up. And we're going to have to book reservations fairly soon. Thanks in advance!
