Splendide 2100xc washer/dryer question

Wash cycle is fine but machine shuts off after about 20 minutes into the drying cycle.  Anyone ever experience this?  It is a vented model.  Cleaned the vent from the outside with a flexible brush.  Dryer seems to heat sufficiently but not completing the drying cycle.

The 2100XC is know to get lint clogs where the vent exits the back of the machine.  This seems to happen when the vent path is less than free-flowing and small bits of lint build up over time.  Splendide even has a procedure for avoiding this, and a way to clear it up if it happens. PDF file attached.  We had the problem twice in 18 months until we learned the preventive procedure. Never experienced it after that.
The good news is that the 2100XC has a high temp shutdown and resets itself. Our previous 2000S burned out a fusible link and required a pricey part to get it going again.

Splendide Tech Support is usually excellent - call them if needed.
