splendide dryer noise

Does anyone here have experience with the splendide dryer making quite a lot of noise while operating? We replaced it at the winnebago factory about 4 years ago adn it's back making noise again. Do I buy a new dryer or can I replace the motor myself .
Appreciate any feedback an/or advice on the subject.

There are several posts on replacing the bearings in the motor. It's a common bearing.
Do a search on this forum and the irv2 forum.
I think this project is within the capabilities of most DIY'ers. The most difficult part can be getting the dryer out of its cubby.

The Splendide dryers (or washer/dryers) are easy enough to work on once you get them out of the cabinet and to some place you can open it up. I used to put a1/2 sheet of plywood on the bed and it became my work bench, but you want to have any necessary parts on hand if you need the bed to sleep on.

You can buy parts direct from Splendide (Westland Sales in the USA) and some are available on Amazon.

If you ever get to Los Angeles, I'll sell you mine. Used maybe 3 times. $100.00. It's sitting in the garage collecting dust. Probably less than what you'll pay for parts.
