::)? Hi, I am on SSI Disability, a limited income, etc.? I am allowed to own $2000.? I really want a used van that I can set up.? Does that seem an unreasonable dream.? I can save the $2000, and I can do a little work along the way (my work can travel)? I'm allowed to make some money working
without losing my health insurance.? I'm on oxygen.? I have a concentrater but it would be too hot to use in a van.? I can stock portable oxygen if that would work in the van.? I would need a little
a/c that I could lift into the window when I stop.? I've wanted to do this for such a long time.
Anyone have any info on any of this. Thanks a lot.

First, welcome to RVForum.net.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking - is it whether you can buy and setup a camping van for $2000?    Or maybe adapt a van you already own to be a camper for $2000?

Since even folks on SSI have to live somewhere, what are the rules about owning (or perhaps leasing) a home of some sort? An RV with a toilet, bath and kitchen facilities qualifies as a home under IRS rules, so why not under SSI rules as well?
