St George Island - Florida

My husband & I started RV'ing this year with our 2 kids. We absolutely love it!  We've made reservations for St George Island State Park in June.  I've heard the island is beautiful, but can't find much information on the campground.  Does anyone have any comments?

We prefer quiet... not worried about a lot of amenities.

Go to the Fl State Park Web Site and they have all st parks listed with information.  It is a great park.

Probably the best place to live/visit in Florida. At night you can see the satellites going overhead. Except in the exclusive portion of the island, where the majority of the trees are, you have complete beach access. The beaches are smooth sand and the tides are mild. In the state Park there are very good bathrooms and showers right on the beach. Buy your food on the mainland before going across to the island. There are 7-ll type stores on the island.

No matter how much you are warned, you'all will be sunburned real quick.

I didn't realize there are motor home sites on the island.

Nights with no moon are simply spectacular.
