Members added that similar inside-mounted Starlink Mini setups have worked through a Jeep fiberglass roof and even some foam, though these were anecdotal reports. Several RVers noted that non-metallic materials such as plastic, fiberglass, glass, and wood often allow radio signals through, while Starlink’s “clear path to the sky” mainly refers to avoiding obstructions such as trees and leaves. Power for the skylight installation was handled with the included 50-foot cable and AC wall adapter routed to a vanity outlet, while the Jeep example used a custom roll-cage mount and 12-volt accessory-powered setup with a voltage booster.
