Yikes. I suppose folks willing to pay $150/mo, the price just recently, won't balk paying $15 more, but I have wonder where does it end...

Keep in mind you only pay for the months that you actually use it. And once you have experienced Starlink, you come to realize how badly everything else stinks. I also wonder how anyone who would spend a fortune on a MH and then pay the fossil fuel cartel for fuel to travel at less than 10 MPG would think the monthly Starlink cost is excessive...

This will be our fist year traveling with Starlink.

It's all about what you want, and what you'll pay for that. Between my Google Phone and Starlink, I get all my internet and personal Communications I need or want, for less than 200/mo wherever I want to go. I like it.

It all depends on where you want to go. We go a lot of places where there is zero cell signal. Not just poor service, but no service at all. Starlink is our only option. Then again, we are mostly boondockers, not staying in campgrounds unless there isn’t another handy option.

Yep not gonna balk at all—for now. Will see where it ends.

That is key for me. I only pay for 2-4 months a year.
If they ever force an annual contract I would really have to look at costs.

I have used the FMCA Tech Connect WiFi Hot spot for years. $59.99 per month and never an issue with it. We watch HD videos on it almost every night we’re on the road. However, we’re not boondockers and are almost always in areas where cell signals are available.

Back when I was still using the satellite dish, I came up with a new definition for “roughing it.” That’s when you are staying in an RV park with too many trees for the satellite TV to work. 😂

I bought into Starlink last June because I was going to be in the mountains of Montana where there was zero cellphone service. As stated you can pause service when you no longer need it. Starlink does have a $50/month plan for 50GB of data. I will be spending the winter in south Florida and there is at least one spot that I frequent where cell service is a problem. I'm only there for one week at a time and I may activate the 50GB plan while I'm there.

Even Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway, who both loath Elon Musk, admit Starlink is genius.

Yep, sadly Elon has gone off the rails. Success does that to some people who are not well grounded...everything becomes control and wealth generation to the exclusion of all else. Fortunately, the people I have worked with in SpaceX and Starlink are exceptional in all ways.

Our Starlink unpause/pause timing was perfect last week and we only paid $20 for 4 days of camping on the Oregon coast.
