I assume because we are a long term existing Roam Plan user. And unless they changed the Roam Plan, it never cost anything during months that you don't activate and use it. It was originally called a Mobile plan, but when I looked at renewing it today to see if cost changed, it is still $150 but is called Roam plan.

You can activate Roam month to month, but since there is generally at most one month a year we don’t do something in the MH, it doesn’t do anything for us.

Yep, like most RV things, what you choose is largely dependent on how you actually RV. Since we now only spend about 6 months in the US each year, we typically only RV about 3 months out of the year...either one long 3 month trip or many smaller trips over the course of those 6 months.
