I have a 1990 Elandan with a Kwikee power step that suddenly stopped working. I have pulled the 4 wire connector apart and checked the red wire for voltage. There was no voltage.  Because it worked so well before, and yes, it is well lubed, I tend to think a fuse has blown. But where is the fuse? Enquiring minds want to know.  Can anyone help?
Thanks, Gord

Here is a link to the most common Kwikee electrical diagrams.  I had to replace the in line fuse when I replaced the motor on mine.  The other possible problem is the magnetic switch on the door, if memory serves correctly it will not show power is the magnet isn't working or is misaligned.

oops, forgot the link:  https://www.google.com/search?q=kwikee+electric+step+wiring+diagram&oq=kwikee+step+lectrical+&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0l5.22066j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

This is the first diagram, if you click on it, you will clearly see a 30 amp in line fuse is located between the battery and the switch.  It is in the picture on the right.  You may have to look for your model.

Thanks for your response, but I am having no luck finding this fuse. Pulled out the step switch just inside the door today which has 2 thick wires on it but no fuse. I am frustrated. I need to know where to look for this fuse.  There is nothing that I can see in the battery compartment or under the dash. Again, thanks for your response, the quest continues.

If you can't find the fuse, you could try to find a hot wire and run a new one to the switch.  test the power at the switch and place another in line fuse, the diagram shows it to be a 30 AMP.

Two step fuses are located in the engine compartment of our 2005 Pace Arrow.  They're clearly labeled and inside a box with maybe 30 or 40 fuses.
