Love this story:

Apparently he went into the bank with the cat in his arms, and he walked up to a bank employee and said, ‘Can you hold this?’ And then he wrote a note and handed it to a bank teller and it said, essentially, ‘Give me all your cash.’”

Sooo... he's in the pet store, perhaps casing it for days while working on this brilliant plan. "Ok, first I'll grab the cat, then off to the bank..."

Guess he figured he save a buck and get the bank to lend him pen & paper to write the note?

Considering how much time he probably spent coming up with this complex plan it's hard to imagine why he didn't away with it.

But flash forward some time later where he's behind bars. Cellmate: "So, what 'ya in for?"

Cellmate shouting: "Hey everybody this here is the famous kitten bank robber!!"

Gonna' be hard ever getting over that I guess...

Well... Most criminals are not the brightest bulbs But I used to have what I called an Intelligence file back in my Commodore 64 days.. Stories of great lack of intelligence by crooks.

Like the guy who robbed the donut shop during while about a dozen cops were having coffee.
Hey he "Got away" over 100 miles... all the way to the Department of Corrections intake facility.
(About half way across the small parking lot is where the cops tackled him like a quarterback gets tackled)
