Stripping/Decals

Hello.
How would be the best way to replace or refinish the stripping on my motorhome?  After 11 years it's kind of lost it's shine.

I have heard, but never tired, that you have to use a heat gun to soften the decals, and peel them off. It is reaaaaaaaaaaallly labor intensive. You can probably take them off yourself, but trust me on this one....you have to know how to re-apply them. IT takes a ton of skill to do it right.
