So I did the dumb thing and passed under something and tore up my rooftop a/c. I removed the old a/c unit and installed a split a/c unit. Man… talk about an upgrade! Anyway, winter is coming and it’s getting cooler. My question is what wires are used to control the furnace and how can I install a thermostat? didn’t think much when removing all the wiring and thermostat and tossed t have a 1990 Catalina Coachman Ford..
Hp. Someone plz help. The furnace went out and I was just wondering if I could buy the fan engine or if I have to replace the entire thing cuz I cannot find the part anywhere else and was told that needs to be replaced every 10 years anyway..... The furnace as I find on camping world are about $800 and they say suburban, can my RV use that? What furnace do I need? Better yet? How do I find this darn part "in picture" to temp save some money until I can afford a whole new furnace?

Please tell us what make/model of furnace you have, and also the year/make/model of the RV. Then explain what "went out" means. I gather you have concluded you need a new motor and those are usually available, but a few such parts are obsolete and no replacement known.

We may be able to help if you give us more information. Gary &I both have a lot of experience with RV furnaces. There should be a label in your furnace that lists the make and model.

Welcome to the forum.
Did you troubleshoot the furnace or was is a rv tech who did it. Make sure you know exactly what went bad before you just throw new parts into it. I have never heard that these motors need replacing after 10 years.
