t-mobile over the edge

I learned from my friend Al last weekend that t-mobile is making the switch to EDGE technology. This means that their air cards will provide 3-4x the current speed, although it does mean buying a newer card (Sony Ericsson GC89). t-mobile says they're 75% converted so, even though they don't advertise the higher speed service, you can get it today at no additional charge, beyond the purchase of the new card.

Further speed increases are planned for the future, which might require the purchase of the next generation GC99 card.
