The right tail light on my unit tays lit while plugged into 110 power (turn and tail light coils light up). Doesn't do it when plugged in to tow vehicle but doesn't work properly when towing either. Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum.
I’m guessing it’s either something inside your plug that you plug into the tow vehicle or something inside the junction box that your cable is connected to. There is a wire in there that goes to the battery and is hot all the time with 12 volt DC and some other wire may be shorting out to that battery cable.

Most trailering lights are wired completely independent of the trailer 12V system. Someone has messed around. You might just go to Harbor Freight and pick up led kits, pretty cheap, and start from scratch. Figuring out others hack jobs with electrical, well.. good luck with that.
