I want to pass my thanks to all forum members as a newbie to motor homes and maintenance.  Some of the issues you have helped with:
- no power to slides
- selection of TPMS - TST 507 - love it
- correct air pressure for tires
- fixing water leaking from toilet bowl - 2 applications of CLR and back to normal
- selecting supplemental braking system -M&G
- bugs on front - wet Bounce works great
- many others too numerous to list
On behalf of all new users -- your willingness to share your knowledge and experience is invaluable to us.  Thanks so much to you all!!!

jlazar,

You will love your M&G Brake system and be reminded every time you hook up, unhook your toad. Easy, truly proportional, does not come on with Jake Brake, nothing to put in place or remove.

Did you add the air pressure switch to see application in your rear camera? If yes, where did you mount the LED?

Rich.  Did not buy the LED.  Did not know anything about it.  Is it mounted on the toad?  I did buy a Toad-Charge to keep the toad battery charged.  Very happy with it.  John

Indeed, thanks all for helping John choose an integrated brake system so he could sell his old portable one to me.  ;D  (Still haven't used it yet, John)

I'm a bit confused; the M&G Engineering brake system uses NO electricity from the car. It works only from the air pressure applied from the coach brakes. So, no charging of the toad battery is necessary.

The LED is turned on by a connection to a pressure switch in the air line and does connect to the toad battery. Power consumption is negligable so a recharge is not needed. The LED should be mounted in the toad, somewhere where you can see it in your rear camera. It will come on only when air from the coach is activating the toad brake.

Rich.  The M&G does not need a charge.  I have a 2012 CRV.  Towing instructions are to leave it with the key in the accessory position and pull a fuse to prevent the battery from running down.  Of the folks on the forums who have commented and not pulled the fuse, about 50% haven't had a problem and 50% have.  Some folks install a switch to the fuse that they can flip to deactivate without having to manually pull the fuse each time.  Others opt for things like the toad-charge as I did.  I like it because it is active every time you hook up without having to think about it or flip any switches.  Probably falls in the category of having "insurance" but I like knowing the toad will start every time.  John

John, sounds like you are all set up for towing now. You will really enjoy towing that Honda CRV. I still marvel at how well ours tows, never a problem. I use the brake Buddy and installed a switch so no more fuses to pull.  Good luck with your towing.

Bill

Ah-ha!!! The light came on in my brain! I tow a 2013 Wrangler with no steering lock so, no key on = no load on the vehicle battery. Lights are powered by the coach. I never thought about the power consumption from leaving a key on.  You have eliminated any chance of a problem, even after a several day tow, all done without having to perform additional steps. Nice job!

Bill/Rich.  Yes I am all set up for towing now.  I don't even know the CRV is back there.  I notice no change if breaking effort whether towing or not which I assume is good.  Rich, you said nice job.  Wish I could take credit for it.  Just following the advice provided by you experienced folks -- and I will continue to!
