They were coming into their floor inventory at RV Direct in Winter Park, Fl. as I was taking delivery of my ACE 30.1. The unit looks identical to the 29 series except of course it's 2 feet shorter which necessitated the interior redesign for the smaller space. They have combined the dinette and sofa into one large/long dining table/sitting area. This is nice if you are traveling with a large group as everyone will be able to sit at the table for meals, however, on the downside there is no other place to sit, so you are always sitting at the table, and that could be annoying. I didn't check it long enough to see if the table is removable, and even if it were, it would be a pain to breakdown and such each and every time you wanted to sit at the table. The unit is price about 4-5K (MSRP) than the 29 series so it is a good value. As all of the ACE models, it has the electric bunk and all of the other goodies. As I said, we just took delivery of a 30.1 since we wanted the larger kitchen and the 32" TV but all of the ACE models are a great buy. Oh yes, the 27 is the only model with a KING bed. The 29 series have QUEEN beds and the 30.1 has a modified QUEEN mattress - it has been chopped  5 inches at the bottom so it fits with the slide closed. I'm a 6 footer and I don't have a real problem with it. The mattresses in all the units are a little on the hard side, so if you like a hard mattress you'll be happy. We put a 2.5" Gel topper from Walmart ($100) and it is great. You should be able to get this unit nicely equipped at around 64-65K after discounts, we just paid 69K for our 30.1 and it even has the HDMax full body color which adds about $1300 to the price after discounts (its not paint) which looks great. I highly recommend you get the remote control heated rear view side mirrors with cameras, the 15BTU AC unit upgrade ($143), extra battery and ladder.
Good luck!

Well, I am considering the 27.1 for my wife and I, no pets.
What do you think of the MPG with the 6.8L V10 Ford?
I drive pretty sanely with my F250 Ford Super Duty 7.3L and get from 10-13 pulling my 30 5th Wheel and using a ScanGaugeII which helps me back off or increase
my speed.
Thanks for the answer.
