Well, my basketball regular season ends tomorrow night. This has been a very exciting season coaching some really wonderful bunch of high school girls and we have had a successful season holding a 13-5 overall record and 6-1 in league play. We play our final home game tonight then on the road tomorrow night for our final game of the regular season and the league championship on the line. If we win tomorrow night we have a good chance of earning a home game next week in the first round of the playoffs.

Now that the basketball season is nearly over it is time to start preparing the MH for another season of traveling with the family. We will be camping at Lake Diaz in Lone Pine, CA with the Teaching Kids to Fish organization over the President's Day holiday weekend with about 25 kids. This will be a fun start to the RV season. We have plans in place to drive the MH cross-country this summer from California to Indiana & KY and back with some stops along the way. This weekend I'll be getting the MH ready to go out and have some fun.

We've got snow on it's way here... fickle weather!!!

Congrats on the record. I can't even think about spring prep for at least 2 more months. I am however 4 weeks into my garden planting. Love my little green house from harbor freight.

We're rolling out this afternoon for a long weekend at Oliver Lee State Park.  Still too cold to visit the high country, but desert camping will do nicely in the meantime.

Already getting the Cummins Diesel tuned up... Now I just got to spend some time packing bearing on the Jayco and clean the interior again after a long winter sleep. I might go out and warm it up and hang out in it today... Hmmm... Dig out the TV and watch a movie. Might take a nap on the couch... Oh. It sound so inviting...  8)

Hi Josh,

Congratulations on a great season and good luck in the state tournament!  I still have a couple of months to go before I can hit the road.  Wish you the best. :)

I wish I was preparing the MH !! I'm preparing the SNOWBLOWER !!! Predicting 2 feet of the white stuff today into Saturday !!

We are looking at an early start this year also.

Maybe go next weekend.

Hope the weather will be nice,  Or at least dry!

Weather is mild here. No snow on the ground. I almost went out and hooked water to the RV and fire up the water heater to do house cleaning. Then I got out the door and hit by the cold wind and thought... "Naw... I'm not that gun-hoo about it yet."

We won our last two games of the season to finish with a 15-5 overall and 7-1 in league. We won last nights championship game 47-24 as we were losing by 1 at halftime then the girls played their hearts out in the second half and ran away with the win. The California playoff brackets will be released tomorrow after 1pm so we are now celebrating and waiting to see who, where and when we play our first round playoff game.

My girls are both grown now, but spent many years cheering on the basketball teams that both my girls played for. Kind of miss it now that you mentioned it.  I am going today to my friends where my mh is stored in his garage to fire up the old motor and charge the batteries back up. We got about a foot of snow Friday but that isnt stopping me from thinking ahead to spring. Doesnt matter what those weather predicting rodents say, Im sure we are getting six more weeks of winter here in Muskoka. Looking forward to another great summer and some day I might even be able to join the snowbirds and go south for the winter. Cheers all.

The playoff brackets are out and we have received a home game in the first round this Saturday evening. I'm glad we received a home game but I wish the game would have been during the week because now I can't go camping with the Teaching Kids to Fish organization this weekend. Well, maybe I'll take the family to Death Valley for an overnight camping trip just to take the MH out since the weather is so nice there at this time of year.

Well I got the mice block for sure from coming in the RV. Then I got all the dishes that the mice been wondering through all washed today. Hopefully the morning weather tomorrow is better and I can get started packing bearing on the RV. Fresh bucket of grease and ready to do it.  8)

Every spring. I'll pull each axle apart clean the grease out, inspect the bearing, and re-grease the bearings. I hand pack all my bearings. During reassembly I look over all brake hardware and brake shoes and adjustment when I get the drum back on and bearing nut tighten.

I sat in the trailer for a bit today, I am home with a miserable cold. Will be a while before I have a warm Saturday to repack wheel bearings, dewinterize and make sure all systems are good to go.
