Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems

I read some of the posts about various TPMS systems but no one appears to say anything about the Tire Minder system - has anyone tried that one?  Also has anyone used the bluetooth monitoring?  Anything for or against it?  Thanks!

Personally, I have the TST system and it works well for me.

I have the RT 66 Tire Minder.  For me it had issues, but now that I have figured these all out it seems to be working perfectly.  The Tire Minder has a wireless hub that is mounted somewhere in your RV and is designed to allow the sensors on your tow dinghy to be received and read.  Initially my hub, mounted halfway back in my RV near my batteries, was not communicating consistently with the sensors on the dinghy so I would get low signal (LS) alarms.  About 2 months ago TireMinder sent me a new hub that is waterproof which I mounted under my coach. I also moved the original hub to my CMax dinghy.  Even with this I had LS alarms for the dinghy. To solve this I moved the wireless hub in the dinghy to sit on the driver's seat when I am towing it and now it seems to be working reliably.

On my last RV trip I was going down a very long hill and one of the front tires gave me a high temperature alarm. Even though I had been using my grade brakes these brakes were getting dangerously warm  The alarm caused me to pull over and run lots of water over my front wheels until they were at a reasonable temperature.

TireMinder hubs are powered 100% of the time, but the monitor goes to sleep when you are sitting stationary for a long time.  Even walking about in the RV is enough to wake up the monitor. This is useful to keep a charge in the monitor for quite a long time.

We've had three with three different RVs.  The first was a Hawkshead.  Functionally the same as a TST.  It worked OK but was prone to false alarms.

A SmartTire system with sensors inside the tire.  Non-replaceable batteries.  Prone to signal loss even with two antennas and a signal booster.

An EEZRV.  So far this is the best.  Replaceable batteries, easy to program, and has been reliable for over two years.  If you're driving a 40+ foot rig and towing a car you may need a repeater.

Check out the "Carud" 901t w 6 flow through sensors for under 200.00....
It check temperature and comes with an antenna but on my unit it doesn't need it.

Here you go, I had to order another one when my RV was broken into, I paid that the first time. 149 w shipping. You can set alarms for temp and pressure..

They have units that supports more than 10 sensors.

Ok, thanks. I'll keep Careud in mind if my TST system ever fails. I didn't see any flow-thru sensors though.

I tow a small utility trailer behind my 5th wheel.  As such the TPMS units on the utility trailer are difficult to read from the cab of my  truck.

My Pressure Pro system had no problem when I added the remote antenna that Pressure Pro offers.  I mounted the antenna on my rear bumper trailer hitch as seen in the attached picture.

Why put a repeater in the 5th wheel when the external antenna works better than a repeater that I had tried.    The other advantage of the external antenna it does not require a power source that a repeater does.

Ok, I misread your post. I thought you were having problems with your current TPMS reading the third unit sensors where a previous Pressure Pro was able to read them with the extended antenna. I have a similar antenna that came with my original TST 510 system and also works well with my current TST 507 system.
