Hi new to the group, I'm in the process of buying a used RV, I'm told it needs tires as they are dry rotted, the size is 8R19 I cannot find this size as a decent price my question is will any regular tire work?

I think you mean 8R19.5?  Which would be 19.5 inch truck rims?  These are usually used on HEAVY RVs, so I'd be surprised if there were any cheap substitutes for them.  These are usually 10-ply equivalents, I think. How much does your RV weigh?

I have heard that the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) has a sweetheart deal with Michelin, members can buy these kinds of tires at a substantial savings.  Supposedly you can save WAY more than the cost of your annual membership.

Not really my area of expertise, I'm into truck campers myself . . .

I'm not sure yet I asked but they didn't know I'm going to find out Saturday, I know it's a class A motorhome

8/R 19.5 are what I have on my Class A/
Samson is the brand I run. I have had them 4 years now with no problems.

$169.95 at https://simpletire.com/samson-8-r19.5-88005-2-tires
Little less at Chicago tire via EBAY https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-tires-8r19-5-tires-GL283A-truck-RV-12PR-tire-8-19-5-Samson-Advance-8195/141836052993?hash=item2106166a01:g:TaYAAOSw-7RVB0SZ.
On some motor homes the tire size can be changed to a metric tire but the dual rear wheels need to have a minimum amount of clearance between them (cannot remember how much) but the Samson's have given me good service and Chicago tire was a pleasure to work with. If you have a local shop to send them to they will ship them there.
