Go talk to any seasoned alignment specialist. Not some rookie. You hit a big pot hole, your tire will be out of alignment.
AHH - you said, out of balace - not out of alignment! Which is it you might mean? Alignment, it's possible, not necessarily so though.

it wont hurt to not balance the tires on your car either, if they are perfectly symmetric. not many tires are. there is always a heavy and light side of any circular item.
even though you have a solid axle, it will extend your tire life by balancing them. it cost a little more, but i always balance anything that im running on the road.
i dont use nitrogen. air is already 70 percent nitrogen. some say, they use nitrogen, i feel its like a mask, your choice. it wont hurt.
might help.

Please explain to me how balancing tires extent the life of them?

If a tire is out of balance, static and or dynamic, it either bounces or squirms on the pavement as it travels - either can cause abnormal wear, both to the tire and suspension parts. Maybe insignificant to some folks but not all.

You do realize that adding weights to a wheel does not change the way the tire spins right? If a tire is out of round and hops adding weight to the wheel does not change that. Balance is for ride comfort only. Not sure why so many people cannot understand that. It has no effect on tire wear and definitely does not effect your suspension.

I do not agree - that's all. One of my previous posts explains why. If I can "feel" an imbalance than so can the suspension. It's just common sense.

Just because it can feel it does not mean it is damaging it. Like I said balancing does not change way the tire spins at all. it adds weight to a certain spot to offset the heavier side. If a tire shows out of roundness balancing does not change it. If you think a tire can damage your suspension the trailer would be needing repairs after every trip from potholes and bumps. That is common sense.

Not my words. It is all what I have read for years but a couple of decades of experience and training apparently means nothing so believe whatever you want to. If you believe a little excess RUBBER on one side of a tire wears out METAL suspension parts then I think you are wrong and so does every tire manufacturer.

Balancing tire do help tire's and wheel bearing and keeps vibration down throughout unit keeps problems to minimum. The company's who built units don't care once you buy it it your problem. They save money and you louse down the rd broke down.

Babe2201, instead suggest they need to add shock absorbers to their trailer axles which will make their ride even smoother. You'll be a hero ;)

Please explain to me how balancing a tire will help your wheel bearings. I have a brand new TT that the tires were not balanced. I find it hard to believe that they would not balance them if it destroyed wheel bearings.

What kind of warranty do you have on the trailer axles? Do you think they give a s*** if the bearings fail, post the that warranty period? Always said the vibrations and wear may not be an issue to some folks, it is to me. Seems there are two camps here and chnging the mind of one or the other members ain't happening. I don't have any hard evidence of imbalance causing an wear - do you have any test data proving that it does not? Reading about someone's opinion is not evidence in my mind. There are articles on the internet that agree with both our points. Just comes down to believing what you want, I'd say.

So you are telling me that if not balancing tires would save wear and tear on bearings manufactures would not do it? The data that I have is from tire manufactures of the tires I have sold for 2 decades. You are right everybody has an opinion but mine is backed up by experience.
