Are covers for campers worth the money? We live in sunny Florida. Gets pretty hot here in the summer. Our paint is fading some already in just two years. I hear pros and cons about the covers.

My take on it is that it really depends on the climate you live in, in some areas covers do more damage than they prevent either due to rubbing or trapped humidity / mildew.

I agree, and I am glad I have use of a metal shed on the family cattle ranch to store mine.

I assume you do use the rv in the summer so it would be a royal pain in the butt to remove and install a cover whenever you want to go camping. And for me, it would be dangerous getting up and down on the roof.
I stay in a FL campground in the winter, the campground has a storage area and it seems every year, you’ll find one or two rv’s in storage for the summer have covers. Most times when the owners return in the fall, the covers are totally destroyed because of the strong winds at times.

I had a “breathable” cover I used once December through February. In full sun in humid MS mold thrived under it and was a b**ch to scrub off. In a dryer climate it might have been fine but it went in the trash.

I live in South Florida. RV and car remain uncovered. Our only consideration for the RV is moisture so we use Damp-rid. Other than that, a good coat of wax or 303 UV protecterant helps preserve the finish.
