To toad or not to toad

One last thing: I don't think you are ever too old, but illness can affect you. One suggestion to have one-page medical summary for each of you--dr names, contacts, prescription meds taken, surgery and major illness brief summary, blood type, and allergies for medical personnel, etc. Keep a copy with you and posted somewhere in your RV, preferably on the refrigerator door. I also keep a copy of most recent blood work and EKGs so a hospital will not have to repeat all those tests!!
Exactly and good advice. You are never too old. Keep living every day as if it is your first...with adventure, boldness, curiosity, enthusiasm, excitement, fearlessly and hunger for knowledge.

When I started at a young age 69, my younger son told me I would die in a fiery crash 200 miles down the freeway. I told him i could sit in my recliner in my condo and read and watch TV for the next 20 years and eventually someone would find my body in my chair. I told him I'd rather take the chance of the fiery crash. And I think setting off on my own and driving and managing a big rig has kept me healthy. I had an aunt and uncle who retired at about age 54, and they spent the next 10+ years sitting on their balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, drinking and smoking. He died about 10 years later. She lived longer, but had horrible veins in her legs and the doctors would not operate because of her smoking.

I think I made the much better choice, and I agree that we have to live life, not sit around waiting to die. You have to get up and do and go!!

Did 10,000 miles last year toad-less but was keeping mental notes all the way. It would not have been used enough and would have been a pain the few times I needed to back up. I am content stocking up at walmart or wherever and then just going to the Rv park for the few days I'll be there. Ive had Uber deliver groceries to me when needed a few times. I would want a toad if I was staying somewhere long term though as I am right now, but it'll be going back into storage before I head south again.
