Is there no water because freezing nights and not turned on yet or just no hookups, I thought I read water and elec at sites.
Never mind, found on their site. BTW, looking t the callendar, some single nights available thru March but it is end of march befre you can get a couple consecutive nights.

No water at Picchaco because their well is bad. Produces yellow, undrinkable water, so they are bringing it in by tank truck, and it is very expensive for them. Only one restroom is open, also, to reduce water use. I was told that replacing the well would be way too expensive, so they are trying to make do by asking people to come in with water and reducing things like showers.

Suggestions for museums--Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, plus Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix. Also, why not drive down to Organ Pipe Cactus National Park. No hookups, but very nice campground for $10 per night. Lots of places to hike there.

We have 2 nights comning up at Chiracaua but they were the only 2 available, Looked at Picacho this morning, kind of sparse thru March but April has a lot of openings.
We are in Benson, 25 m north of Tombstone. The Benson SKP park has boondocking sites for $5 a night, not sure if you have to be members now, didn't used to, but covid, not sure if it changed back. I can check.
Number of CG's in and around town, but commercial. Our park is a Passport Park, so $25 a night. pool jacuzzi, other things, plus a short drive to see Tombstone. The parks down there are usually full and pricey.
There is also a campground in St David at the Monestary, they are reasonable, small with hookups.
What is the Benson SKP Park?

Spent lots of time at Organ Pipe, love it there. Trying to explore east of Tuscon, Tombstone area, Sierra Vista. Might go to Parker Canyon lake??

Does anyone know if the South road part of Empire Ranch has some good spots to stay? Or you want to be more north?

There are a few spots there but we found the roadway had more cattle guards than the North road. We went in from the North and found a great spot.
We did travel out through the south road to go touring but not towing the fifth wheel.

Thanks, we are going to check it out tomorrow. Need a week of free or low cost camping, been at Arizona state parks a lot lately!
Would like to go to Chiracaua too, any ideas over there?
