Towing capacity double check

I have a 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD off road with a towing package 6400lbs towing capacity.

From a perspective of max dry weight is 3,760, GVWR is 5000 manageable? The Micro Minnie 1808FBS or something similar looks pretty appealing to me but could go smaller and without a pop out and be alright.

I'd be towing it around a fair amount

My son in law has a Tacoma. I think you would be fine with the weights, I might be concerned with wind effects pulling a box through air at hwy speeds. The Tacoma seems to be a light truck, it might get tossed around easily.

I tow with a 2022 double-cab. My TT is 200-300 pounds lighter, it is just the DW and I, we try to pack light and I travel with empty tanks and cruise at 65 max. The truck works a bit on the hills that I have encountered in the northeast. Don't expect to comfortably cruise above 65 mph. You need to be aware of payload capacity with tongue weight

I just took a look at the 1808 and note the following:

1. It is a tandem axle to my single. That reduces tongue weight but doubles rolling resistance

2. It is an "RV Queen" mattress to my residential queen. At 6 foot (72") I would not be comfortable on a 74" mattress.

3. It shows a 24" by 24" shower. Go to a corner of a room in your house and measure that out on the floor to see what that is like. It seems really tight.

I have a 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Hybrid and pull a Venture RV Sonic, tandem axles, weighing a UVW of 4,940lbs and a GVWR of 5,840. I use a True Tow Middleweight – Weight Distribution Hitch which works out well for anti-sway and to assist with moving some tow hitch weight to the truck's front axles. Just watch your weights and use a CAT Scale or similar to know your real weights and on each axle. I don't have any power, overheating, or handling issues pulling my RV on even steep mountain highway roads.
