Anybody towing a camper with the  6.2 engine? Did you upgrade from the 5.4?

What was the power difference?

How about fuel mileage?

I've got a 7.3 right now that I pull our 5th wheel with, but I'm thinking about going to a gas engine.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

If you go over to the FTE forum there are a lot of 6.2 being used to pull 5vers and loving it. We will be joining that group in May when the one we have order comes in  :) Remember you are going to a motor with 385 HP and 405 ft lbs of torque with a 6 speed transmission. We went with 4.30 gears like we have in our present 2000 V10.

I think the mileage drop will be a bigger shock than the power difference from your diesel. I haven't towed with the 6.2 but I feel that it pulled an empty truck better than my V10 in my Excursion.
