TPMS problems

I have the filters on the valve cores,,,I was under the impression that the cores were removed for the sensors to work,,??.>>>Dan
 
I was under the impression that the cores were removed for the sensors to work,,
The valve cores are NOT removed. When you screw the TPMS sensor to the valve, the TPMS sensor presses the valve center pin to open the valve, allowing air to reach the sensor unit. When you remove the sensor from the valve, the pin is release and air flow is cut off once again. This is the same process as is used to add air to a tire through the valve.
