transmission

Hi:  I recently purchased a 1991 Pace Arrow.  It is a 35 ft and has the F53 ford chassis with a three speed trans.  I do not find an indicator that it has an overdrive. I am attempting to determine transmission type.  It has 17 bolts on the pan.  Does anyone have ideas on this?  Thanks, Brian

I don't believe I've ever driven an overdrive transmission that did not have an indicator of some type.>>>Dan ( You should be able to "feel and count" the shift points.)

Is the "D" a reversed font, like a black D inside a white box or circle?  That might be OD, which is normally enabled (4 speeds) unless you push the OD disable button, which on fords is at the end of the shift lever.
