Now this is the cheapest RV park I have ever paid for! A week for $150.00. That comes out to $21.43 per night. And so far, I like this place a lot--and a lot fewer bugs.

I had a long BS session with Jim and others here, so it took me hours to get set up. But nobody is in a hurry here, including me.

Most live here permanently. Many came just to stay a night and ended up moving in permanently

7KW charge stations behind my motorhome match the max my bike can accept, with external chargers. Around an hour from empty to full. Open to everybody, no need to be staying here to use the charge stations (25 cents per KWH, less than half the price of my Auburn home charge <if I didn't have home solar>).

I will only use those while I am here, even though the electricity at the RV comes with the deal.

Endless hiking trails behind this RV Park. Right in the middle between the towns of Douglas and Bisbee (14.0 miles to either).

Jim (Owner) used to own Southwest Motorcycles in Phoenix. He quit that in 1985 to buy this RV Park. But do NOT write "Park" on the check. That is the old name; it is now "Twin Buttes RV" since he bought it.

So now I know why Jim owns more motorcycles than I do. Same reason for Brad in Reno, who retired from Freedom Cycles who I sometimes ride with. Brad owns around a dozen new 1967 Honda Hawk 305's. And I mean "new" as in perhaps less than ten miles on most of them. And many other bikes. Even though Brad was a Triumph dealer, he now owns mostly Hondas. When Brad sold his Reno businesses, we purchased a new motohome for 250K$.

Jim says he has met Brad. They both used to race bikes and go to many motorcycle events in CA and other places.

That looks ok but is a little further to the south than I normally get. I end up on I-10.

Yes, i saw only 72 from Wilcix too, I want to see Cranes, more of Bisbee, we just flew by last time...an I wonder if nice crossing at Douglas. We really enjoyed crossing at columbus, NM, better than Nogales, AZ. and the Chiracauas, both sides!

Here are some phots of this place.

No offical rules here, none in writting.

Most of the doggies are off-leash and running around free:

Here, I think all cell phone services work. I use Verizon, but they also have Wi-Fi here that I do not use.

..an I wonder if nice crossing at Douglas.
I hear that the Douglas crossing is very busy, and they are building a new crossing into Mexico very close to here, with new roads and all. It will take years to complete because of the new roads in Mexico as well as on this side of the border.

I recall you're running the TW vertical dipole? Don't you get a lot of QRM from RV EMI? Sometimes I'll use my Force 12 vertical dipole but along with a 100' run of coax to get it into the woods and away from QRM generators.

Nope, no noticeable QRN other than the charger for this computer, so I disconnect it on some bands.
RV.

I think there is one band (30M?) where I can hear some QRN from my notorcycle charging when I plug it into the motorhome.

I would feel guilty doing that here, where the price is so low and no extra charge for the electricity.. That reminds me, I am charging now from the ChargePoints after a trip to Bisbee and back:

I started at 6.6 KW, so I still have a few more minutes to get to 0.0.

Jim, the owner here, says friendly dogs are allowed off-leash here. Sometimes six or so doggies come runnig up to me.

I enjoy that. I like doggies as long as they are owned by other people!

A few cats here too; the doggies all ignore the cats.

nice crossing at Douglas.
Not nice by car! I went there this afternoon, after the recharge fron the Bisbee round trip and ride around.

I followed the line of cars from the Port of Entry into Mexico to behind the Douglas Wall*Mart and Harbor Freight Tools store. The average wait time is two hours all day long. The line is around one mile of cars waiting to enter Mexico.

I can easily walk into Mexico, and perhaps I will take a look at Agua Prieta, Mexico, which is right on the border. I do have my passport card with me. I could park my bike at the WallyMart and walk the mile or so into Mexico.

There was a great Christmas dinner here. I think the entire RV park showed up for it.

This is my favorite RV Park ever, but if you like rules, do not stay here. Jim (owner) has no rules and deals with problems as they come up, which are rare as here everybody knows everybody else, like one large family.

An example is all the dogs off-leash, running free around in this RV park. Those who do not like that probably will not want to stay here. But I like it this way, as I like doggies as long as somebody else owns them.

Earlier today, I went on a hike. Jim owns the property that goes for one mile behind this park where people can hike or drive their golf carts. A wide area with trails, but trails are not needed in such an area.

The hiking area starts behind this gate (I did not see any bees):

The trail looks like this:

Jim owns a dozen curious cows that came up to me from nowhere to check me out:

I am staying here for a month. The rate here is $150.00 per week or $400.00 per month. Electricity is always included, which is unusual for a month's stay.

Add a buck per day for me because I average a buck per day use of their EV charge station here. A round trip to either Douglas or Brisbee costs me a buck on the average, and I do such a trip almost every day, unless I do a hike from here, such as I did on Xmas Day, and will again tomorrow on NYD.

If the $400.00 is not paid for up front, it costs $50.00 more for a month. IOW, stay for three weeks at $150.00 per week, and you then get another week at no extra cost.

I just now gave Jim another check for $150.00, the third check, all for the same amount.

The nights/days are not counted when by the month. IOW, if you come on the 22nd of the month, you leave on the 22nd of the next month, so on 31-day months, like this one, it is an extra good deal. So I am here to the 22nd of Jan 2026 because I got here on Dec 22.

I just now paid my 3rd $150.00, so I am staying here for a full month. So 31 nights is costing me only $14.52 per night. By far the cheapest RV park I have ever stayed at, and also the one I enjoy the most. It is a great location right in the middle between the towns of Douglas and Bisbee. And 7KW charge stations, so I can charge up my bike back to full in around the same time it takes me to type this.

Remember, if anybody else wants to stay here, to bring a checkbook. No credit cards are accepted.

Today, Friday, Jan 2 was a nice sunny day here.

But yesterday on NYD, I felt a few raindrops but went on a hike anyway, behind this place. Many miles of wide trails, in differnt directions, as can be seen below:
