There is a group of UltraVans stay at the park we are in. They are really nice built in the 60's with a Corvair engine. We went to look at them the lady we talked to said theres had a dodge 6 cyl engine and lifted up the bed to show us the other ones had Corvair engines. I tryed to post pictures but they are too big.

If you want to see photos of Ultra Vans then go to Google and click on Images and search for images of Ultra Vans. Hundreds of photos of the interior and exterior will show up. They are way cool.

I agree, the Ultra Vans are way cool, and they were way ahead of their time.  True monocoque construction, like an aircraft fuselage. The holding and fresh water tanks formed an integral part of the structure.  And of course the Corvair power plant.  After the Corvair went out of production they made a few powered by a small Chevy V-8 using a marine drive to the input of the Corvair transmission (which was still being used in the Pontiac Tempest with independent rear suspension).

I'd love to find one for sale - they only made about 700 total, but a surprising number are still on the road.

If they're still at the park, any chance you could forward some contact information?

Spring Turkey Rod Run in Daytona. Saw two of them today getting on to I-95...cool.
