Using an RV propane quick-connect with a Blackstone griddle

I just purchased a new Alta West-East 2375KRK(or East -West, who cares) with the two propane bottles at the front. There is a piped in auxiliary propane line the extends to the rear passengers side of the trailer for alternate cooking possibilities. I purchased a new Blackstone Campers Griddle. The internet(has to be true!) says the pressure in that piped in auxiliary line does not produce the pressure needed for this griddle. I do not want to travel with additional, small propane bottles.

Do any of you have a griddle similar to this Blackstone and if yes, any issues with maintaining pressure from the trailer gas/keeping a strong flame? or, can you refer a brand/model propane griddle/grill that works for you?

Well thanks to Pascal pressure in a system is equal throughout the system. So the internet makes no sense.

... or "they" may be concerned that the reduced regulated pressure from the tanks might not feed through the Blackstone pressure regulator correctly (double regulated).

We had a similar situation - different BBQ - I removed the regulator from the BBQ and put on a gas quick-connect with valve at my mid-ship low pressure propane manifold and everything worked fine.

Of course - REAL numbers from the manufacturer and the size/pressure of your tank regulators would certainly have the answer...

The extra port is tapped in after the dual bottle regulator. Any device you add needs to have no regulator.
Two regulators in a row, series connection, will not work!
You need to find a device that has no regulator, and is meant for use on trailers.
Some technical people have been known to remove the regulator on the grill/cooking appliance, properly connecting the gas line for leak free performance.

In case you're interested, propane tank pressure is 100-150 PSI depending on temperature, not how much propane is in the tank. The regulator reduces this to about 0.5 PSI or 11 inches water column for distribution to the RV's appliances. That's why two regulators in series won't work.

I'm not familiar with the "campers griddle" but I have a 17" Blackstone griddle that I use with the low-pressure quick-connect off our 5th wheel. If you can unscrew the regulator on that griddle, you can buy an adapter and quick-connect hose to connect to the camper. Something like these:

There are two types of grills.
one type has it's own regulator and is designed to be fed by either a "Luggable" tank (refillable bottle say 5 pound or 20-25 pound) or a "Throw away" Bottle with a screw top called a "Quick disconnect"

You can tell which you have by looking at the connector.

Thew other (usually has the quarter inch ting shown up thread) is designed for LOW PRESSURE (regulated)

I see someone has told you about that and done a good job.

For the high pressure go to an RV store and say "Extend-a-stay" and if he's old enough.. He will take you to what you need.

If this model has a small regulator and pipe and screw quick disconnect and uses a 1 lb bottle, the setup like Joezeppy shows above will work. I have a 17 inch Blackstone with this setup and it worked. I don't like the griddle and have it boxed up and plan to sell it. I bought a Traeger Ranger to try out. Sadly, camping can get expensive trying stuff that in the end you don't like or doesn't work for you, and then buying and trying something else.

I didn't like mine either until I drilled out the gas orifice so it gets to a useful temperature. I found some threaded feet to level it. It still amounts to a frying pan but I'm getting better getting things on in the right order and using different areas. For two people it's a good size.
