We are considering a trip to the Utah high country around the Provo - Park City area to view the fall colors. Looking for possible areas, approximate time to be there. Any suggestions?

Do yourself a favor and go farther south to the Bryce Canyon area,, there are several nice RV parking spots both state and federal with easy access to scenic areas.  You will also benefit with way less traffic and still be in "the high country", as high as you wish.>>>Dan

I have heard from many locals that Zion National Park has awesome fall colors.

Provo Canyon is a good possibility, but I lov Soldier Hollow up near Deer Valley. Gorgeous aspens as you head to the Wasatch State Park. Big Cottonwood Canyon and Little Cottonwood Canyon (the roads to Brighton, snowbird, Alta, Solitude ski resorts) are drop dead gorgeous, but they are very crowded, especially on the weekends. Also note that many of the mountain areas, including the Cottonwood Canyons, do not allow dogs at all. However I have no idea of the current forecast for when the colors will come.
