Hi All
I did a forum search on this but could not find the discussion.
What is the ratio of vinegar to baking soda for dissolving a clog in the shower drain?
How long do we let it sit there?
Thanks!

I'd suggest using this "Zip It" as your problem is more than likely hair in the drain.

Be careful using that tool if you have a Hepvo trap. You could damage if not careful.

To answer your question:

I found this but have NEVER tried doing this....But I may depending on your results...LOL

Pour 1 cup of baking soda down the drain followed by 1 cup of vinegar. Don't be surprised by the audible reaction that occurs. ...
After the fizzing subsides, wait 5 minutes before flushing the drain with 2 quarts of hot water.
You can repeat this process several times if it is necessary.

In regards to the HEPVO fitting we have them on our TT. In our case there is a Clean out under the dining table bench seat. I found it by accident. but glad I did. My wife has very long hair so cleaning shower drains has become part of my life.
Your results may vary.

My Winnebago has a HEPvO trap under the shower, mounted horizontally.

Mudshark and I have basically the same coach.  I know for a fact that neither sink has the Hepvo trap, as I've had both the traps apart.  Now you're going to make me remove the rear air return grate under the shower to actually check that one too.

LOL!! Wally!
I was looking at that yesterday and thinking about taking it off just to see what is inside!
Just for the record, I poured a cup of vinegar down the drain after DW used a brush to fish out some more hair. Problem solved.

Hair clogs are the most common cause of slow shower draining.  I bought a long (10") tweezers that I use to pull hair out of the shower drain.  My hair is long and even though I try to control it, even short hair ends up in the drain.  I usually clean it out with the tweezers about twice a year.
