Hello All!
I have begun a restoration of an '85 Vogue and thought maybe I could get some pointers here.
The issue I am working on now is some minor luan delamination in my ceiling from a old leak that has been repaired.
The luan is not structural, just the ceiling inside. I guess I could leave it alone but the perfectionist in me cant ignore it. I planned to gently open the wound and use thinned epoxy to saturate the luan and cover, close it and cover with wax paper then compress everything with a piece of foam backed with ply wood and a 2x4 to prop it up. Then remove the foam when dry. Sound feasible?
Also, I plan to paint the ceiling and need to fill some holes, etc. I need a filler that is flexible enough that it wont crack from the chassis flexing, but also sandable. Kind of like spackle, but flexible. Any thoughts?
In the future I will try to post some pics.
Jim
