Walmart overnight parking

I haven’t been around here in years but I see that the urinating contests are still active lol

In my experience having worked for WM Corporation, the last thing the mgr. wants is a call from some RV senior inquiring about parking there overnight. If it doesn't have a sign prohibiting overnight parking just park there and stfu please God.
I my experience having business relationship with Wal-Mart stores (not as a customer) I tend to agree, if you call ask for the customer service desk, ask them if RV parking is allowed, don't try to bother a manager. Wal-Mart works (I assume it has not changed since my experience) by having a tiered set of managers, the lowest level is the CSM or customer service manager, this is typically the person a cashier may call over for help, above that is the front line manager, this is the person that is over the CSM's. If the person at the customer service desk is unsure about RV parking, ask to speak to one of these people.

What you SHOULD NOT DO is ask to speak to the Store manager or the Store Assistant Manager, these people are BUSY all the time, and don't have time to deal with things like RV parking, unless perhaps the RV is on fire.

p.s. Also in my experience never ask the store phone operator anything if they still have an operator, as at the time I was dealing with Wal-Mart stores this is the job they gave to the people that were hopeless at any other task, but that they did not want to fire.

I just ask whoever answers the phone if RVs can park overnight, and where would they like me to park. The person answering the phone almost always knows and gives a recommendation.

I understand the curtesy thing but believe, in the absence of -no overnight parking signs- and other RVs parked in the lot, asking permission is unnecessary and likely appreciated by store employees.

This is a challenging problem for two reasons. First the Forum doesn't have any private rooms where these contests can take place. The second problem is more difficult. Unlike the US Congress, the Forum doesn't have any Public Urination Monitors.

That’s the way I handle it. I don’t stop until 11 or 12 so if RV parking is allowed there’s already a gaggle of them there.

Arguing, excuse me, disagreeing in a private room is no fun. A good argument, disagreement needs to be enjoyed by all. 😎

I find the ones that do NOT allow it, such as the WallyMart here in Flagstaff, have signs in the parking lot that say "no overnight parking allowed".

RV parky also said it was indeed ok to stay at the Benson AZ Walmart when it had NOP signs all over the place. I stayed with about 5 other RVs this past March. Also, on one of the first pages of this thread a guy said he got run off from the Fort Stockton Walmart. I also stayed there without issue last November. (I assume their policy has recently changed)

I know this is a Walmart thread but Cracker Barrels are much better IMO, you just have to get there at the right time. If its breakfast/lunch/dinner cars will usually be parked in the RV spots but if you get there between those times, you'll be fine and generally have a peaceful night.

Unfortunately larger rigs with a toad don't fit many Cracker Barrels, at least the couple of times I've tried.
