I am writing a new song....Do you have any ideas for lyrics?
Thanks
Cliff

How about something like this, parody from the Ricky Nelson era ;D

I went to a RV rally to reminisce with my old friends
A chance to share old memories and play our songs again
When I got to the RV rally, they all knew my name
No one recognized me, I didn't look the same

CHORUS
But it's all right now, I learned my lesson well.
You see, ya can't please everyone, so ya got to please yourself

People came from miles around, everyone was there
Smoky brought his karaoke, there was magic in the air
'n' over in the corner, much to my surprise
Mr. Ron hid in Dylan's shoes wearing his disguise

CHORUS
But it's all right now, I learned my lesson well.
You see, ya can't please everyone, so ya got to please yourself

lott-in-dah-dah-dah, lot-in-dah-dah-dah

Played them all the old songs, thought that's why they came
No one heard the music, we didn't look the same
I said hello to "Cindy Lou", she belongs to me
When I sang a song about a Quartzite, it was time to leave

CHORUS

lot-dah-dah-dah (lot-dah-dah-dah)
lot-in-dah-dah-dah

Someone opened up a monoco door and out stepped Tom be good,
Playing guitar like a-ringin' a bell and lookin' like he should
If you gotta play at Rv rally's, I wish you a lotta luck
But if memories were all I sang, I rather drive a truck

CHORUS

lot-dah-dah-dah (lot-dah-dah-dah)
lot-in-dah-dah-dah

'n' it's all right now, learned my lesson well
You see, ya can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ???

LOL Kenneth, that's pretty darned good and much better than my feeble attempt.

Tom,

Thats the song from Ricky Nelson's "Garden Party"..lol I just changed the names to give it an RV theme ::)

I know, but it was still very good  ;D

Given the subject line, I was thinking along the following lines, but I'm not creative enough to get it to rhyme.

Staying at a WalMart lot,
pretending it's not for long.
I'm on a long haul trip,
no time to find a campground.
Put out the fake grass & BBQ,
then lawn chairs and slideouts.
But it's alright now,
I tell the story well.
I can't convince everyone,
but I convinced myself.

lol    ;D ;D ;D :D :D

Needs some work but after a few ,should fit in well ;)

The attached photo wasn't at A Walmart but in the Best Buy parking lot at Yuma Palms Shopping Center.  Wonder how long he had been there and how much longer he was just going to park fro one night. ??? ??? ;D ;D

I noticed he is displaying the Escapees decal guess he never read the parking etiquette standards when overnighting in parking lots, or maybe he thinks this just applies when parked at Wal-Mart. ;D
