Looking for some ideas or solutions to this problem i am having.  My furnace compartment often accumulates a significant amount of water in the bottom.  Especially if the weather is coming from that side of the motorhome.  I have sealed the mounting edge but water is still getting in. The result is the furnace quits.  Currently in Michigan and just had a nice sleety rain.  Soaked out a considerable amount of water then blew air across board and floor of the compartment.  No joy.  Got tired of freezing my hands will go out later and battle it.  thinking about drilling a small hole in the bottom to help it drain other than that kind of out of solutions. This is an older Atwood furnace with original circuit board

I would try putting a layer of good duct tap, preferably the metal type, sealing the top edge of the door and also along the sides.  This should tell you if that's where the water is coming from.

No it's not. Follow the instructions from Arch.

My suggestion won't help you. There was a slew of Leprechauns sold that had backward louvers (louvers went in, not out) on the furnace cover. That was only part of the problem, as some weren't sealed correctly. Coachman, through Atwood fixed me right up with new parts, including a new board for free.
Next question, is there any water lines or drain lines running over the furnace. The furnace has slots for ventilation cut in it, and if where is a leaking water lines or drain, it may be the cause of the water.

Hmmm, Not quite.... You have to choose the "Signature" section of the profile and type in your info there for it to show in the signature.

On my Monaco the thin white translucent water line to the ice making machine in the refrigerator sprung a leak where it passed through the furnace area.  Had a bunch of water running out the side of my coach.

We don't use the ice machine so I shut off the water line for it under the kitchen sink.
