Water Leak

Please forgive me as this is going to be a very long post. I have a 2010 Forest River Rockwood ultra lite model 2604. I have a water leak that for the life of me I cannot find. It is literally like the water comes up through the floor. I have attached a generic picture to show where the water comes from but I cannot figure out where else I need to look for the leak. Obviously, it only leaks when the water is on. It is connected to shore power and city connection. The fresh water tank is not being used at all. Neither plumbing vents are clogged. When I removed the bottom shelf out of the bathroom cabinet behind the toilet and checked all of those connections, none of them appeared wet. It does appear that there are some lines that run under the floor and maybe between another subfloor? I feel like I have checked everywhere but its clear that there is something somewhere I am missing to look. Please help!

The water line comes up through the floor at some point. You'll first need to go under the trailer and find where the water is exiting the bottom board. The leak will likely be in the general area above there. You'll need to open the bottom board and with a flashlight try to get your eyes up in the subfloor to look around. A pinhole in a water line or a bad fitting can spray water in any direction.

So i basically need to drop the underbelly? because there is no water at all underneath the trailer...

The problem with this, is the underbelly is probably a few inches below the floor. It would have to be totally flooded before it reaches the floor. And even then, the water would be exiting somewhere on the underbelly.
It is possible that a line or fitting is leaking as it passes through the floor.
The underbelly may or may not be covered with coroplast, but it still has the fabric layer and insulation.

My guess, the city water connection is directly on the other side of the wall you have outlined, and a connection / elbow / T is starting to drip in the wall. Likely will have to cut into wall to troubleshoot. I know in addition to this Forum, FR has a dedicated forum to the ultra lites, maybe you can obtain more specific detailed information. Good Luck.

That's possible, but the city water connection and tubing should be visible on the inside. Normally comes in near the pump.

I can see where that goes in because that is located inside the passthrough where the water tank is located so I can see all of those hoses and lines in there. The ones I cannot see are the ones that run into the "empty" covered carpet box, but those run out of that box alongside the inside wall so i can see all of that. But it doesn't appear that there is water running down from anywhere along that wall. I pulled that baseboard off inside there where the lines run inside the camper. I am not currently with my cell phone but when I get to it I will attach some more pictures that i have taken

Do you see any signs of water outside the rv from the leak? Amount of water and where it ends up xould hwlp isolate the location of the problem.

Did the leak happen out of no where or did something like a cold spell or banging into something happen that may have caused the leak?

The toilet is the only thing near the leak so the most likely cause. Any cracks or dings in it?

Leaks can be tough to track down. Sometimes drying the area and laying down paper or pee pads and seeing where the puddle starts can help point in the right direction

Toilet is dry. Line going into the back of the toilet is dry and the valve for the toilet was replaced a month ago. I really think the only way to get to the lines (where I think the water is coming in is to take out the underbelly). However, it is completely dry under the camper so if thats the case then the underbelly would be holding the water but nothing looks off about that part. I am just at a loss at the moment. Will post some pictures soon.

Could be an intermittent leak or what onyrlef posted about a pinhole and it is only inside the rv. Not enough info to tell.

if the valve was the last thing that changed i would take a close look at that. New stuff fails too.

Could be something worked its way loose. Rvs bounce around a lot when they are rolling down the road and somwthing could easily shake loose

True, but Im stationary... Obviously when Im not there I turn the water off completely so it doesnt leak and only use the water when I need it and also when im trying to find this leak.. its quite frustrating because each time I feel like i know where it is at only to find it isnt....

Water leaks can be a serious pita to track down. Water doesnt always travel the way we think it should and in some cases can move uphill. Keep at it and you should find it. Having other people look at it helps too. They might see somerhing you dont.

With the toilet being the only thing on the street side of the trailer that uses water, there has to be a water line from the area of the shower and it would be unlikely to be the source if it is below the floor. Double floors are possible but very rare. If you wrap the fittings with a paper towel you can easily tell if it has been wet. Water can travel a long distance from the source so don't overlook anything. The fittings behind the toilet may be the problem or it could also be the toilet connections or flush valve. Water leaks around and related to a toilet are some of the most common.

Even with the water off, there is still water in the lines that can seep out till you get back to the trailer.

This interests me. I hope you can figure it out and report back.

If there’s no water dripping underneath, where’s it going?
Well.. thats what I am trying to figure out.. But there is no water at all leaking under the rv. I would presume that if there was water leaking out there, the ground would be wet. However, I am pretty sure that I have the coroplast which i dont think would drain water through it anyways but I am not 100% sure on this. I just know there is water coming from somewhere within the spot in the picture and I am determined to find it! Well I have to find it obviously..

It could be pooling on the underbelly and not leaked out yet. Depends on how much water is leaking. Look for low spots where the underbelly hangs down.

We had water one time in our rv. Ended up being we didnt tighten the windows enough when we closed them and drove through a heavy downpour. Once we figured out it was the windows we made sure they were closed properly going forward and never leaked again.

If there is enough water eventually it will make its way outside. Those underbwllies arent water tight. Could be a tiny trickle running down one of the jacks or water or sewer hose

Had that happen. took me a while to figure it out and of course damage happened.

Water showed up in the middle of a floor. NOTHING near it had water.
It was sneaking in from .. In my case.. The water heater.. Many pin-hole leaks. Finally found it and fixed it

One thing you can do is mop it up then lay paper toweling down wait periods of time and check all the papers.. Find the first one that shows signs of WET.. CLUE as to what direction to look in.. BUT ONLY A CLUE.

Is it a continuous leak? Could it be a leaking toilet flange and running under the floor?
Are you visually checking the pipes for leaks or using a paper towel to find signs of water.
Push up and down on the underbelly and listen for water moving around
